Etikettarkiv: Typography

Typographic business cards creatively use typography or text as the only design element. It gives a simple yet cool feel to your professional image. It is a trend that has been hugely adopted by book covers; music CDs, t-shirts and now is seen replacing the artwork itself of business cards. It is like the new black, timeless and all pervasive.

Font type, size, color and style are the pillar stones of working this trend on cards. Typography can be combined with other effects to elevate the impact further – Gold or silver foiled text, letter press typography or spot gloss options can affect legibility, neatness and overall attractiveness of the card.

It is a comercial and residential complex in Mérida, Yucatán, that reflects the cosmopolitan life in an alternative way, adapting itself to all kinds of personalities. Buyán Apartments is a proposal for a conscious, intellectual and cultural lifestyle that is immersed in the day-to-day dynamics.

“Buyán is the name of a sacred island of the slavic mythology with extraordinary tales, which we decided to communicate through illustrations that develop stories that dignify lifestyles and values that are commonly ignored like coexistence, contemplation, love for the mascots and sporting, gastronomical and cultural activities.

Mod’Art

“Mod’Art is a hair stylist salon, which has mainly female clients of average age and upper middle status. The salon offers its clients a refined and welcoming surroundings, where they can find professionalism, skill and creativity. We projected a sophisticated and elegant symbol, working on a monogram which combines the two initial letters; we designed them following the slab-serif font style on the Clarendon model, but with very rounded connections among steams and serifs. From the two combining letters emerges a crown shape, which gives the symbol more prestige. The typeface we designed for the name is a sans serif with square shapes, clean, neutral and compact appearance, inspired by the Microgramma model, which conveys the logo a modern look.”

Cester

“Cester is the name of a family of pharmacists. Their small local business allows them to have a privileged relationship with people. The Cester visual identity is based on a set of core values: caring for health, professionalism, cordiality. For the creation of the logo we sought inspiration in the most recognisable shapes for pharmacy and we chose the cross symbol. We obtained this shape by the displacement of the central part of the ”c” bowl. The use of negative space in logo design is a great way to catch the eye of the beholder, which is one of the most popular techniques for its effectiveness, because it creates an interesting visual effect for the human eye to fathom and it facilitates the memorization of the logo. The lettering is clear and simple. We designed the typeface in order to give it an authoritative and professional look, which gives security. The use of lower case letters and the presence of particular roundings gives the logo a cordial look, too.”

In order to consolidate the results obtained, at this stage of his professional career,
he asked us to create his new personal brand.
We thought the new visual identity had to be elegant, traditional and sober.
During the creative process, we were inspired by a famous phrase coined by Giorgio Armani:
”Elegance is not about being noticed,
it’s about being remembered”.

Method

“One of the favourite personal concept project that I worked on recently. Method is the go-to destination for luxury fashion. Creating the identity meant finding the right balance to between minimalism and luxury. The brand evokes a mindset – an attitude. We created a scheme that was designed to act as shorthand for the brand. This was combined with a colour palette of vintage tones to complete a simple, elegant identity. The website and app were kept minimal and broadly focussed on creating an optimal experience across all devices.”

Lale

“Lale is A UK-based British company with careful tailoring, an attention to detail and the use of natural, and superior quality fabrics. Lale’s collections are designed in a one of a kind atelier in the historical and romantic city of Istanbul,
then cut and handed over to the wonderful team of dressmakers and tailors.

The very unique cotton used is grown and milled in the Aegean Region in Turkey, east of the blue waters of the Aegean Sea. For its softness, density, and abiding quality, Aegean cotton is arguably the finest in the world.

Lale means tulip in the Ancient East, and epitomizes that spirit of timelessness and romantic charm through a subtle symbol that merges a turkish tulip with a cotton boll. A true bohemian spirit and a romantic love for nature and and authenticity.”
