Dumpling Story

“Dumpling Story aims to bring forth the many mysteries of the Chinese culture by embodying the painting’s festive and prosperous spirit in the ingredients and flavours used in their food.

“Our approach is creating a brand that tells a story on its own – taking inspiration deep from our client’s Chinese culture, we inscribed the logo from two dumplings to form a lotus leaf with nine koi fishes spread among three business cards.”

The Crux & Co. Patisserie

“The Crux & Co. Patisserie on Little Collins St was created as a “lighter” version of its parent cafe in South Melbourne. To reflect this smaller but nevertheless just as significant part of The Crux & Co. the logo and typeface remained the same while a minimised menu, new name cards, loyalty cards and a lighter colour palette were developed.”

Chocolate Chilli Mango

“At Chocolate Chilli Mango, they have combined a lifetime’s passion for fine chocolate with creative flair and exotic ingredients. All their handcrafted chocolates and confectionery are made right here in Melbourne by the head chocolatier, Viviane Buzzi.

“Our brief was to totally rebrand their old and tired brand. So we delivered a new logo, introduced new colour scheme, design and built their new custom e-commerce website and created a set of chocolate boxes for their ever changing range to house a mix of favourites and unique limited edition flavours. The enjoyable part is we get to eat all their chocolates in the process.”

Norske Bryggerier

“Norske Bryggerier is an Oslo based company with a conscious effort to start up small local breweries along the west coast of Norway, and develop a portfolio of high quality craft beer brands.

“The concept behind the identity is all about ‘a taste for quality beer and “godt selskap” (good company).’ The two circles has the double meaning of a colon, which represents the many breweries, and two glasses for the best company possible. The use of black represents the “dark market” in Norway which stands for law which prohibits the advertising of alchohol or to use promotion of any kind to generate sales.

“The packaging is a “non-sale” design and is only for internal tasting for quality control before full production commences once the testing is deemed successful. The design is inspired by pharmacy bottles where labelling is purely for practical cardfile system. The reason for a neutral design is so as not to be affected by colours and illustrations which can lead to false expectations, and to purely focus on the tasting process. Norske Bryggerier takes great pride in tasting their products in the knowledge the competition between so many quality breweries in Norway and Internationally is getting harder.”

The all lowercase logotype is to capture their young spirit and modern design style. The letter “g” is a transformation of the number “3”. To express the attitude of enlighting the true color of the clients’ brands, a neutral grey is chosen to be the main color, which represents the inclusiveness of Triangler. Interestingly, the Chinese name of the studio read exactly as the sound of “sandwich” to echo the flavorful works they do; hence, the accent colors: green, red and yellow are the connections of lettuce, tomato and cheese in the tasty sandwich. Wish all the clients can get a chance to take a bite!”
