Christchurch City Choir

“The Christchurch City Choir came to us to redevelop their brand and advertising. Our mission was to give the Choir a polished look that would attract fresh eyeballs and give them a distinct voice in the Christchurch art’s scene. First up, we crafted a logo that conveyed the idea of voices singing by tilting the Choir’s name on an uplifted axis. We then used plants and flowers to illustrate the natural, unadorned harmonies of choral singing. We carefully selected highly crafted, historic imagery to convey the beauty of the concert experience. A bright pastel colour palettes ties the various concerts together and gives the brand a fresh, vibrant feel that appeals to audiences young and old alike.”

ROAR

“The client came to us with an idea to set up a new communications provider company, but they needed a name and identity which would set them apart from established competitors, such as British Telecom.

“From the very start, they wanted a brand and visual identity which would reflect their local roots ethos and honest approach to communications.

“As a small fish in a massive aquarium, they wanted a strong brand and visual identity which would make them a stand out as a worthy competitor in an industry dominated by convention.

“In typically valiant fashion, the ORB hero squad threw on their capes and stepped in to deliver the full package.”

Breadshop

“Breadshop, a craft bakery located in Honolulu, HI, hired W|W to design the integrated branding for the business.

“The concept is inspired by the idea of “terroir” which defines how the geography, geology, and climate of a certain place affects locally produced wine, coffee, tea, or bread. Based on this notion that bread is unique to its environment, the identity focuses on the unique texture of Breadshop’s bread. The mark for this brand is a series of bread loaves broken in half to form a monogram, which also connotes the idea of fellowship through “breaking bread.” The tagline “Established Daily” is a witty nod to the freshness and custom nature of the product.”

Almirante Pech

“S.A was commissioned to design the identity for this restaurant based in Playa del Carmen, Mexico. The story behind the name involves a pirate known as Almirante Pech (Admiral Pech) (Mayan origin), who brought recipes and flavors from distant latitudes of the Mexican Caribbean. Consistent aesthetics were developed to meet the gastronomic and architectural concept: eclectic and sea flavored.”

Burning House

“Burning House is a production house whose main focus is on video and animation content, from TV advertising to corporate stories and capturing events. The brief for this rebrand was to simplify the existing identity that Burning House had been working with for six years.

“We felt that a simple icon could represent the brand in its entirety, almost to the point of not needing typography at all.

“The flame icon was used in combination with behind the scenes imagery to tell the story of the studios production capabilities and capture their focus on visual content.”

Aborígens

“Branding, stationery and corporate materials design for Aborígens, a gastronomy consultancy based in Barcelona which uncover Catalan cuisine for professionals from the food, hospitality and catering industries, as well as specialist journalists, to present the uniqueness of local produce and the latest culinary trends in the country.

“The identity has been developed following the personality of all its team. They wanted a near and humouristic solution that communicates gastronomy sector but also the team and climate they generate in their tours and projects. We’ve taken images from the internet that has been recreated by the team itself. Pictures of freak drunk people in the street to make an exagerated link to the tours and cat pictures with food that they recreated using food and wine actions in the same point of view.

“A simple but strong solution that with only 3 elements of the stationery can build the entire corporate elements. Letter, cards and stickers are the elements and the last one can be applied to different supports to create not only stationery pieces like envelopes but also corporate products to decorate the interior offices.”

Tramantes

Translated

“Tramantes is an innovative platform dedicated to textile art production, dissemination, experimentation and learning this craft. Founded by textile artist Cecilia Martinez, this community seeks to create stories through the joint between the warp and weft, where the first acts as the place where rest the words and the last as the time in which They play. Inspired by this philosophy, we create a logo with an elegant and readable typography, whose characters are intertwined in a symbol of unity and mutual dependence. The vertical arrangement of the logo represents the warp of the fabric, while the discrete line at the bottom represents the plot.”

Original
