Deliciously Ella

“In an industry that took itself too seriously, we created a bright, optimistic brand that inspired a category-wide shift in how healthy food should look and feel. The new brand catapulted Deliciously Ella into retail, where sales of their first product – the energy balls – dramatically exceeded even the most optimistic projections.”

Salt Apartments

“Salt Apartments is a coastal apartment development set in WEST — one of South Australia’s largest ever master-planned communities. We were engaged to deliver Salt’s brand identity, photography, microsite, signage, print media, social media and digital marketing assets, full stationery suite and copywriting; including Salt’s playful tagline ’Pinch Yourself’, which neatly marries the complex’s name to the lifestyle it affords at a surprisingly low price point.”

Joule Energy

“The resulting brand identity finds power in simplicity. With it’s mysterious, minimal, black and white aesthetic and photographic treatment, Joule’s brand and ensuing marketing touch points are intently dramatic, speaking to the hopeful, visionary personality of the company and its target audience. Even the common symbol of a lightning bolt has been streamlined for effect, reduced to two precisely-shaped triangles that breathe new life into the timeworn icon.

“The accompanying typography was custom-designed with diagonal endpoints that complement the lightning bolt logo, and this same visual theme of angularity then recurs throughout the design style — creating a sense of cohesiveness and individuality that is central to branding.

“In addition to the brand identity, we have produced Joule’s stationery set, promotional video, website and corporate profile. We are also currently developing a smartphone app that allow Joule’s clients to remotely monitor their energy production and capacity in real time.”

Enklare

“Redesign of loan broker company Enklare, former Reciva.
In a world of conservative companies, the young company Enklare (simpler in Swedish) wants to make your loan application a simpler and less scary experience.

“The new identity is simple but colourful and varied in order to show that anyone, regardless of their age, ethnicity or gender, can apply for a loan at Enklare. The logo is bold, with a kind shape, to show that Enklare is a company that cares about its customers and want their lives to be easier.

“The wave, which is an important part of the identity, are used as a pattern or and underline. It symbolises the smoothness of Enklare’s service and their endeavour to simplify for the customer. The symbol itself also has a visual connection to the watermark on printed bank notes.”

P’cakes

“P’cakes (Petra’s cakes) is a brand of creative cakes and sweet stories. Petra’s approach to creating reflects her personality and lifestyle. Her approach incorporates natural decoration, which we wanted to highlight with the logo. Our inspiration for it comes from the apostrophe in the name (‘). If we look at it in a graphical sense the apostrophe replaces missing letters. We decided to turn it around and style it in such a way that it represents a cherry, which is often used in iconographic representations of cakes. The metaphor “the cherry on top of the cake” also symbolizes the “above and beyond” touch to a solution, which is a very appropriate brand value to communicate, as P’cakes always go above and beyond for their clients.

“In our color selection, we found inspiration in the color palette of P’cakes, a forest theme, and berry bushes, which are all very close to Petra, the creator. Since her creations are very colorful and always different based on the occasion (weddings, children cakes, birthday cakes,…), we set the color palette in such a way, that different color shades can be used for different occasions.

“Finally, since every cake has it’s own story we also envisioned to communicate these stories through the slogan #cakeyourstory”

Van Leeuwen Artisan Ice Cream

“Van Leeuwen Artisan Ice Cream makes high-quality ice cream with the finest organic ingredients, prepared from scratch in Brooklyn and sold in both classic and vegan varieties via trucks and shops in New York and Los Angeles, as well as packaged pints at grocery stores. Pentagram’s Natasha Jen and team have created a new brand identity system for Van Leeuwen that position it as the ice cream of choice. Stripping off all the visual noise typically seen in ice cream branding, the new identity deploys minimal graphic elements—the logo and a decisive color palette—that reflects the purity of the ingredients, and colorful pints that stand out in stores and look great on social media. Since the introduction of the new packaging in the fall, retail sales have increased 50 percent.”
