“Unfinished Business are an independent theatre company that produces innovative and relevant performance to local, national and international audiences. They create transformative spaces that blur the boundaries between audience and artist, reality and performance and interrogate cultural and social politics. iwant were commissioned to design a visual identity and website. Much like the nature of the theatre company the identity needed to be flexible and adaptable and used a series of stamps and stencils to allow the company to apply the logo to various materials. The website is built with a complex series of layers that include coloured lines that appear on top of the content to challenge the users experience as a reference to how the company challenge their audience.”

We have been working with Sample Magic for six years, designing the artwork for all of their releases and managing their digital and print marketing design needs on a weekly basis. “The Upsider is a restaurant on the Upper Eastside (Upsider) in New York city. Working closely with Zachary Lynd, and to an extremely tight schedule, we created a visual identity based around a suite of quirky illustrations, patterns and hand drawn type that riffed on the restaurant’s name. The assets and colour palette were used subtly throughout the restaurant’s interior, marketing and website to ensure that the naive quirky nature of the visual identity and the stylish interiors and food were perfectly balanced.”
