Bullfight

“Bullfight is Shawn Cirkiel’s new Spanish concept situated in the burgeoning Airport Blvd. corner of East Austin. Cirkiel’s love affair with Spain was sparked when he landed his first job out of culinary school at La Marquesa, at the time the only five-star Spanish restaurant in the country. Learning about the food and culture of Spain became a lifelong passion. Previously a Shell station that ran in Cirkiel’s family, Bullfight delights in juxtaposing the language of auto-mechanics with the grace of dance — be it bailaora or torero.”

Evocation

“Evocation is a micro roastery and espresso bar in Amarillo, Texas. They are a small team of obsessively focused coffee enthusiasts, which is also a perfect depiction of Caliber, so we were beyond thrilled to help give their brand a much-needed jolt of energy. The main task at hand was rethinking their packaging system. Because Evocation is constantly experimenting with new limited-release flavors, the packaging really needed to be flexible. Our solution was a kinetic set of colorful labels that they could customize and adhere to their new, sleek and understated bag. Along with a new logo and packaging, Caliber served up some fresh business cards, stationery and in-store signage to bring this brand to life.”

Hawai’i Dairy Farms

“W|W designed the brand identity (logo, stationery) and website for Hawai’i Dairy Farms, an upcoming grass-fed dairy located in Maha’ulepu, Kaua’i. The brand embraces the concept of grass-fed as seen in the textured illustration of the cow and within the tag “Grass farmers with a passion for dairy.” The goal of Hawai’i Dairy Farms is to reduce Hawai’i’s reliance on imported milk from the mainland United States by producing more than double the amount of existing local milk production.”

Halfwit Coffee Roasters

“Halfwit Coffee Roasters are serious about coffee, yes, but pretentious? No way. If anything they’re a little off the wall. Starting with sustainably grown beans, they throw in a little science and a lot of tender, loving care to produce coffee that is out of this world tasty and unquestionably one of a kind.”

Plant Chicago

“As recipient of the 2015 Grant for Good, Plant Chicago—one of the city’s raddest and baddest small nonprofits—got themselves a full year of brand identity and communication design services, free gratis.

“The organization is housed inside The Plant, a hyper-innovative, hybrid vertical farm/start-up incubator in Chicago’s Back of the Yards. Beyond public tours of the facility, Plant Chicago also operates several farms, a fresh market, community outreach and wild experiments in radical sustainability in and around the building. As a young organization with such close ties to The Plant, they needed a distinctive identity of their own and the tools to tell their story.”

Ontic

“Ontic is aimed at creating personalised jewellery by merging the world of digital visual arts with modern jewellery design. Tasked with the challenge to first create an identity for Ontic – constructed with the perfect proportions of the golden ratio, a simple, bold and geometric logo was created. To launch their signature product, a modular women’s bracelet featuring geometric, interchangeable artwork – created online by Ontic’s innovative design tools, premium bespoke packaging was designed to reflect the unique shape of the logo. The result was a minimalist and architectural form… an effective canvas to showcase the intricate artwork on display.”

The Hugo

“The Hugo is an iconic new multi residential development in emerging Footscray. We were engaged by Faymus to create a striking identity and marketing campaign that positioned the apartments in a very unique space. It was important that we captured the spirit behind the developers vision of the awakening of Footscray and its rich culture and diversity. We titled the project Footscray Reimagined.

“We commissioned local artist Andy Murray (Gatsby) to illustrate our visions of a vibrant Footscray lifestyle. The collaboration added great depth and authenticity to the project. We also engaged photographer Sayher Heffernan to capture a rare and beautifully honest side of the West.”

Subisú

“Subisú is an ice cream and popsicles brand. The graphic concept is inspired on the naivety of children, when they still believe in impossible things. We designed an icon based on these fantasies.

“The name is a combination of two ideas, on one hand, it was inspired on a sweet French song that repeats “Bisou Bisou”, and on the other hand, its also a game of the word “subibaja” (seesaw), where our main character plays with a balloon.

“The combination of texture, colors and materials tell the story of a handmade Mexican product.

“Subisú, a brand inspired on children cravings that last forever.”
